The True Shepherd

If the Lord is my Shepherd,
then why do I still want?
If He supplies all my needs,
then why does sin taunt?

If besides still waters He leads,
then why do I still fear?
If He fills me with quietness,
then why isn't it here?

If green pastures bring peace,
then why am I still stressed?
If He leaves me not lacking,
then why am I not blessed?

If He restores my soul,
then why do I still doubt?
If He satisfies my deep hunger,
then what is this drought?

If in righteousness He guides,
then why do I still wander?
If the Lord is your True Shepherd,
these things . . .

You would not have to ponder!
