My God Is Before Me

I put my God before me,
I let Him lead the way.
I know that I can trust Him,
To guide me every day.

I give to Him my right hand,
He takes from me my left one.
I know that He will direct me,
To where I will find His Son.

My soul finds refreshment,
My body rests in His hope.
For He will never leave me,
His glory helps me to cope.

My way is full of His mercy,
Joy follows me where I go.
My pleasures are His forever,
For His presence I shall know.
