Don't Boast About Tomorrow

Don't boast about tomorrow,
or brag about today.
Don't plan your course of action,
or go off in your own way.

Don't say I will do this,
or try a little bit of that.
Don't show off your deeds,
or give yourself a pat.

For arrogance to the Lord,
is really just a sin.
And for all that you accomplish,
without Him, you'll never win.

But if you seek God's will first,
He will lead you from there on.
For your life is but a vapor,
. . . and one day . . .
you'll vanish and be gone!
