A Searched Heart

When God searches,
man’s innermost being
He looks for a heart
trusting and believing.

He knows every intent,
behind every deed
for, every heart to Him
is an open book to read.

When God searches,
man’s inward parts
He searches the core
of everyone’s hearts.

He can see right through,
the facade, the deceit
for, He can detect
the heart’s every beat.

When God searches,
man’s imaginations
He looks for a heart
full of appreciation.

He understands the mind,
thoughts, He interprets
He knows the ones . . .
having eternal purpose.

When God searches,
He tries the reins
so into each heart
He can come and reign.

For, a searched heart,
God needs to refine
so that with His . . .
it can forever align!

Psalm 139:23

“Search me, O God,
and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:”
