Dear friend, some steps perverse you chose to take
To pastures beckoning with green so lush,
With cattails fluffing, standing waters hushed,
And "Tiger" lilies, apt name for your rake.
He has enticed you once, just once you've strayed
Through gardens for the wedded with a crush.
That you've been snared, you're telling me to shush.
It's worthwhile romance, you yourself persuade.
To save you from this foolishness Christ paid,
Nailed naked, to a wooden cross so cruel.
Escape from this temptation can be made,
The devil wishes Christ to lose this dual.
Your freedom for this rake you need not trade
When Jesus' peace within your heart can rule.
