A Babe was Born in Bethlehem

by Kristine Stanton © 2023

Remember Jesus Christ, our Lord,
was born on Christmas day.
He brought Salvation to the world
to wash all sins away.

"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins. . .The time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no guest room available for them,"(Matthew 1:21, Luke 2:6-7, NIV).

A babe was born in Bethlehem
to save the world from sin.
No room was there for this dear child—
no room was at the Inn.

His Mother, Mary, wrapped Him in
a cloth that very night
and there he lay upon a bed
of hay in the starlight. . .

Let all the world sing out for joy
and thank Yahweh above,
for sending us this precious Lamb—
a gift of our Lord's love.
