Paid in Full

Who at the cross is He who took your blame?
Becoming sin, who suffered your withdrawals?
When you’re forgiven you need not feel shame,
You’ve not found the love for which your heart calls.
Considering your debt is paid in full
By means beyond your measure or control,
Your struggles to maintain are void and null
Compared to Him who seeks to make you whole.
Believing by your willpower you can
Amend compulsion for debauchery,
To utter failure, you yourself condemn
Though you’re a pawn of others’ treachery.
Walking in the power of the Spirit
Is to be blessed with freedom, not forfeit.
