There is a story that is never told
left unsaid, for within we are not bold;
The story of who we are inside,
we fail to know, the truth has died.
Life is lived behind our masks
we keep busy with all our tasks;
The story of what really makes us tick,
hidden inside until our hearts are sick.
Confused, in powerlessness we live,
afraid of what we may have to give;
The story of our hearts true desire,
consumed by fear of rejection's fire.
There is a story that needs to be told,
It is worth to us much more than all gold;
The story of who we truly are,
Found in our Christ; within His scars!
