Fifty Years

by Clinton Herring © 2022

Bold years have come and gone.
The winds of time passed through.
Was it not yesterday
our life as one saw dawn?

Dawned the day we met,
In time of college fun.
So, were we once that young
when lives entwined we let?

Let seen - half-century,
my love for you is strong.
We have weathered all storms
and weathered time's fury.

Fury gone; on God's road
together as His one.
We've still things to conquer,
our lives for Him now bold!
