Big Black Lies

by Pearl Leona Sturgis
https://www.facebook.com/pearlleona

Once the devil used me
for his right hand glove.
Then I found forgiveness
in my Savior's love.

I'm washing in a Fountain
and it won't run dry
so get behind me satan
with your big black lies.

I can hear you devil
but you're way off track.
I'm way down this road and
I'm not turning back.

'Got my Savior waiting
here at my heart's door.
I don't want to walk the path
I walked before.

Get behind me satan
with your big black lies.
Don't be digging up
my past to analyze.

I have laid my failure
down at Calvary.
Now it's in the bottom
of the deep blue sea.

Jesus paid it all
and He's not keeping score.
He won't even count the times
I failed before.

Anything to please my Lord
I want to be ... so...
Why you gonna go and waste
your time on me?
