Dirty Hands Clean Money

Dirty hands, clean money
is what the truck's decal said
I respect one earning an honest wage
to buy his butter and bread.

Sadly in our present age
good work ethic does dwindle.
Some feel no pain making unjust gain
as they lie and cheat and swindle.

Some could work but choose to shirk responsibility
toward laziness bent, they're fully content
with welfare mentality.

But O for that man who makes it his plan
to labor each day with might.
When it's all done and said
as he lays his worn head,
he'll be sleeping much better at night.
