How could I know the depth of love
The Son was sent to die for me.
Yes, from the Father high above
That I should always now be free!
So when death's cords entangled me,
'Twas then He interposed His blood.
His life He gave to set me free,
As mercy came to me, a flood!
For I was lost and cast aside
But He was there to rescue me,
My sin and hatred deep inside,
He granted life for me, so free!
For darkness had engulfed my eyes
But He was there to shine His light,
This heart and mind when struck with lies,
His light inside, so full and bright.
And now I'm safe forever more,
A gift from God for trusting Him,
Eternal life from heaven's shore.
He risked His all, His life, His limb.
1 John 4:8b...for God is love.
Jesus answered, "... For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth."
