From the Cradle to the Cross

helpless babe; Almighty God
contrast that takes my breath away,
smelly stable; blood stained tree
true love completely on display.

broken man; willing Saviour
both loved in the Father's heart,
healed forever; life surrendered
God has loved us from the start.

earthly trials; heaven's gain
my friend, He's with you through it all,
death defeated; grace examined
supported even though I fall.

Christmas greetings; Easter mourning
let their message dwell within,
trough to rugged cross; praise the King
He redeems us from our sin.
