Thirst for His Touch

by Karen Stringfield

A gentle voice asks for help from me,
But I'm too busy is my plea.
There is not enough time in the day
For me to spent a few minutes with you today.

I am tested by His touch
But give way to my temper too much.
I spend too much time on TV, computer and phone.
And it leaves me feeling empty and all alone.

The truth of his word is captured in my heart.
Now I can treasure his triumph as a new life he imparts.
I should trust the touch of my Master's gentle hand
And thank him for the opportunity to spiritually expand.

I recognize the thirst for more
And find time to connect with God to explore.
He has taught me to testify
And I will love him to the day I die.

I'm glad He didn't say He had no time for me,
If He hadn't given his life I would never be free.
Are you sure that you have no time?
For a God that's been so kind?

The angel Gabriel speaking to Mary
Luke 1:31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.
