It is to the Father with care,
We come with a humble prayer.
He hears our petition, and all our admissions,
As weakness and sin we lay bare.
In the merit of Jesus we trust.
So to pray in His name is a must.
If we come on our own, to the heavenly throne,
Our errand will be a big bust.
The Spirit prompts us to pray,
And guides us all of the way.
It is no surprise, He interprets our sighs,
When we don't even know what to say.
This is the wonder of prayer,
The reason that sinners may dare.
A triune connection, fills our affection,
In heavenly blessings we share.
