Promises Remembered

Fading light closes in around my dreams,
Diming expectations from what it seems;
Losing sight of the road ahead,
We have forgotten what He said.

We're never left to fight alone,
He is our precious cornerstone;
Protected by His strong right hand,
On His promises we can stand.

Living now claiming all of my Saviour's blessing,
His enduring promises I am professing;
For He will provide for all my cares,
He will always answer best my prayers.

My Shepherd, Redeemer and my King,
Giving me a brand-new song to sing;
Forgiven, heir, brother, and dear friend,
On His promises we can depend.

Promises remembered through darkest days,
God guiding my life safely in His ways;
Spirit living within providing strength,
Blessed assurance knowing love's true depth.
