The Intimacy of Prayer

Connecting to the Father's heart,
allowing my thoughts to be still,
Aware of the beauty of His love,
learning God's heart, mind and will.

Resting in the Father's heart,
secure in knowing, I am known,
Soaking in His grace and peace,
refreshed, coming before Thy throne.

Living in the Father's heart,
intimacy encountered in my prayer,
Safe to share my deepest pain,
each day residing in His special care.

Serving out of the Father's heart,
seeking all His strength and understanding,
Willing to surrender my will to His glory,
sharing from His truth, on which I'm standing.

Praying seeking the Father's heart,
exchanging all my wishes for His own,
connecting, resting, living, serving;
engaging with my Father; His heart known.
