Hollow dreams blind delight
hidden tears frame my fight
shadows consume fading light
missing His love so bright!

Frail hope shatters joy
bitter thoughts, love destroy
hate part of the devil's ploy
from precious grace and love decoy!

Vivid promises erase my doubt
healing tears and fears, despite the drought
glorious light reflected throughout
life lived learning what love is about!

Fresh hope now I'm living free
surrendering all to Thee
from my selfish ways I flee
with His perfect love agree!
