Let Us Not be Hindered. . .

by Kristine Stanton © 2024

Let us not be hindered, LORD,
because we lack Your Truth.
Don't let satan track us down—
the bloodhound—spy— the sleuth.

Keep all evil far from us
and bring us close to You.
Shelter us beneath Your wing
and make our hearts brand new.

Give us eyes to see, dear LORD,
and ears to hear Your Word.
Guide us on a well-lit path
and let Your voice be heard.

Enlighten us and give us hope—
please grant us knowledge too.
Mend our hearts—forgive our faults—
please cleanse us through and through.

Fill the void—the emptiness
that clutches hearts and souls.
Keep us safe from wickedness—
don't let it take control.

Humble us and make us pure,
LORD God, we ask of You.
Give us strength to fight the fight
and stand for what is True.

Hear our voices, precious LORD—
be with us day and night.
Show us how to live our lives
and walk in Your pure Light.

Grant us peace and shine Your face
upon us, Father God.
Take us to Your tranquil grounds,
where others have not trod.

"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace,"
(Numbers 6:24-26, NLT).
