Ruler of This World

The ruler of this world;
not someone you would want to meet.
He will tempt you;
quelling hunger with pleasures sickly sweet.

Maybe he would;
give you all that you require.
Riches and fame;
provide everything that you desire.

But know a day will come;
a steep price most definitely will be paid.
You cannot take it back;
in spite of pleas, the sentence is not stayed.

You have lost your soul;
traded it for temporary worldly pleasures.
You now belong to the devil;
instead of God and His eternal treasures.

And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. 1 John 2:17
