The Father's Mercy

There is a place where mercy reigns.
I know, it's from my Father's throne.
From God, maker of all good things.
For mercy starts with Him alone!

Our spirit, it should know His ways.
He breathed in us His cosmic life!
How is it that we stumble so,
And fight and rant and live in strife?

The heart became a darkened place,
And lost the sight of love for sure.
But He with mercy eyes did look,
And sent His Son to be our cure!

Christ took for me the wrath of God
And mercy then poured forth on me.
One stood in place of all, that's Him!
Great God - the Son, my mercy tree!

So God does look with mercy eyes,
And love, so rich now cast on me,
For from His throne does mercy rain!
His work on high that sets me FREE!

Ephesians 3:18-19 ...(so that you may) grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
