Be Watchful-Be Cautious

Be watchful—be cautious
of all things that tempt,
they're works of the devil
and filled with contempt.
Be careful—be mindful
of what faces you.
Some have the appearance,
all shiny and new . . .
They are a deception—
they trick and they lure.
Please test what's before you
and make sure they're pure.
Don't fall for temptation—
come trust in the Lord.
He'll guide you to pastures
where you'll not be lured.
He'll lead from temptation
and keep you from harm.
The Lord will protect you—
the bad He'll disarm.
"Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one."
(Matthew 6:13, NIV)
Just remember . . .
"When you are tempted,
he will also provide a way out
so that you can endure it."
(1 Corinthians 10:13, NIV)
