The fun of spring and fresh cool rains,
Of summer days and happy ways.
The wonders of this world He reigns.
The glories of God seen through the haze.
The haze of sin obscures the truth.
That we are stained with sin to core.
He calls us to be wise and sleuth,
So we will open our heart's door.
The sway of Satan that seeks us harm,
Wants to mar the image of God.
His hateful ways and worldly charm.
He thinks we're nothing but dirty sod.
The Son, however, won the war.
He beat this enemy & death & shame,
Died on a cross with nails that tore.
He didn't garner this world's fame.
Before He came we were cast out.
Lost to God for all eternity.
But now we dance and sing and shout.
His love, His blood has set us free.
So peer beyond the haze of sin.
Call on His name, He's quick to hear.
He'll cover sin's stain deep within;
He's always close and ever near.
