The Lord's Creation

by Kristine Stanton © 2021

I climbed atop a mountain
and looked out o'er the land.
I saw the Lord's Creation
and beauty He had planned.

In all His wondrous splendor
God gave the earth to man
and let him live upon it
to govern all the land.

I stood there in amazement
by what my eyes could see.
My heart was captivated
as peace encircled me.

The beauty that I witnessed
no words could quite explain.
'Twas the handy work of God,
the mighty King who reigns.

Humbly I bowed down to Him,
with fervor I did pray
to thank the Lord in Heaven
for this amazing day.
