The Armor of God

As soldiers we march with faith in the Lord.
We're armed with His Word, that's known as God's Sword.
Adorned with the Truth that's tied at our waist
we go to battle with undaunted haste.

We're given a shield, delivered with grace,
to fend off evil and harm that we face.
A breastplate is placed upon every chest.
It's granted with love and God's righteousness.

We wear a helmet that rests on our heads—
a gift from Jesus, who rose from the dead.
Our feet are fitted with footwear that lead
and bring us to those lost and in need.
