Adorn Us in Your Armor

Adorn us in Your armor
and keep us safe each day.
Protect us from all evil
so we don't go astray.
Equip us with the helmet
that Your salvation brings.
Wrap Your truth around us, Lord,
and buckle it, dear King.
Come dress us in the breastplate
of strength and righteousness.
Lord, fit our feet with footwear
that takes us to wit-ness.
Give to us a mighty shield
of faith, and honor too,
so that we're protected, Lord,
from all that's not of You.
Etch Your Word upon our hearts —
please give to us Your Sword —
so we may slay the devil
and glorify You, Lord.
