As nature awakens from slumber;
and the green of the forest returns;
as the daffodils rise on the prairie;
and we watch the rebirth of the ferns.
As the flowers in all of their beauty,
blossom and sweeten the air;
As the birds sing in all of their glory,
as having no burdens or care.
It is then that we celebrate Easter,
Our thoughts turn to life from the dead,
We focus our minds on the risen Lord,
The church's true Savior and Head.
We celebrate grace and forgiveness;
We celebrate Jesus the Son,
For with sin and the grave He has struggled,
Over sin and the grave He has won,
