Temptation Surrounds Us

Temptation surrounds us
wherever we go.
We hear it, we see it—
this injurious foe.
It lures us and dares us—
it cunningly calls,
and if we're not careful
imprisoned, we'll fall.
But there is a weapon,
a beautiful Sword,
that we have been given
by our mighty Lord.
Please use it while praying—
temptation will flee.
Call out to Christ Jesus
and He'll set you free…
"God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it ," (1 Corinthians 10:13, NIV).
