One Day

One day I will write the perfect rhyme,
with beauty and truth within each line;
Impactful words that tell a story,
thoughts conveyed that display His glory

One day I will leave all regrets behind,
finding meaning of grace, I'm yet to find;
Accepting His forgiveness for all my wrong,
directing my soul with a brand-new song

One day I will love the Lord's way,
living for self will have no say;
No restrictions on how I forgive,
choosing instead to freely give

One day I will live without no sin,
He will be Lord; I'll have peace within;
But until that day, I will trust through the tough
that I am secure, because He is enough!

One day I will write the perfect rhyme,
but it will not be because of me!
