Footsteps to follow a path previously ordained

He's walking beside you through the fires of life
Protecting and guiding through heartaches and strife
Made perfect in weakness, the Spirit grows stronger
All fears will be conquered, be afraid no longer

A strong rock to hold on to no matter the storm
For seeking His likeness, your soul transformed
Your sins he will forgive, for enduring the hell
Heaven the reward to those who pray to prevail

Suffering is a gift to help bring you to the Son
Forgiveness and healing, a promise that can't be undone
With prayer, faith, hope, and love, it's made crystal clear
We can all endure life's pain, and with God, persevere
