If I Had Known

If I had known many years ago
In what place I would be
I wouldn't have wondered why I live
Or why God pardoned me

If I had known the plan ahead
Or could foresee today
I would have trusted God back then
Knowing he'd pave the way

If I had known that he would chose
I, to do his will
Then I would have had more happy days
Knowing my cup, he'd fill

If I had known my very worth
And that God sees my heart
I would have had more faith in him
And looked forward to this part

If I had known that through myself
He'd reach out to the world
I wouldn't have wasted so much time
Engulfed by my own dream world

If I had known that through those years
The pain just made me stronger
I may have trusted earlier
Not crying any longer
