Out of the Shadows

ever closer to the dark,
lazy thoughts bleeding
destined to leave their mark.
shaded breath gasping
unaware of the light of life,
dwelling in the shadows
suffocating through the strife.
silent whispers, shout
failure's hidden melody,
turn the music loud
becomes my broken remedy...
time to lift your eyes
move ever closer to the light,
see Jesus bleeding
defeating shadows of your night.
love's breath restoring
walking with the light of life,
leave behind the shadows
grace to guide you through your strife.
with your praises, shout
all glory to the King of Kings,
change the music played
dance in the light, as your heart sings.
