The chill of bitterness sweeps through my life
freezing hope in its tracks, I only see strife,
consuming joy, lost within the weight of its curse
embracing the pain deep within, making things worse.

The warmth of forgiveness melts away my burden
releasing hope's message, I see past the curtain,
experiencing joy, found within the blessing of grace
healing the pain deep within, God's love to embrace.
