distorted colours abused by rushed strokes,
Words disguised in hidden verses
choking on the nightmares my pain evokes.

Scar's beauty buried in the ashes
smothered by pretention's rhyming curse,
Words diverging meaning from my hope
wishing all my fears they will disperse…

Scarlet blood shed seeking me
acceptance blessing now begins to shine,
Words spoken through love's actions
declaring favour will always be mine.

Portrait of scars describing feelings
enhancing colours with vivid beauty,
Words lifting above the rush and noise
grace releases me from the life of duty.
