O' when you're feeling all alone—
in need of a good friend,
just call upon Lord Jesus—
His arms He will extend.
Come, tell Him of your loneliness
and He will sit with you,
reflecting on the words you say
and help you to get through . . .
He'll get you through the solitude
you're feeling at that time,
and from the pit of lonesomeness
the Lord will help you climb.
He'll lend a hand—He'll lift you up,
and you will be set free
from interfering, binding chains—
the chains from which you'll flee.
And Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God,
will celebrate with you.
He'll share your joy and happiness
and in your friendship too.
