Around the bend, and to the end,
life seems a heavy stone.
I crave it all, the sweet, the small,
though ends for me - alone.
My work's a heap, and life does creep,
and seems to move so slow.
Yet short is it - flicker, a lit,
It's gone, and I'm brought low.
But there is one, the battle, He won,
His blood, my covering.
His sacrifice, that terrible price,
that took my suffering!
His love so good, He did, He would,
and now my life is new!
With God am I, I needn't try,
My pain to Him, He drew.
New love, new heart, majestic art!
I'm home - free forever!
The Son, my love, my heavenly dove,
I just need surrender!
