Severe struggle consumes
the stillness in my soul,
harsh turmoil erupting
my life out of control.
In the mess of despair
I lean upon His strength,
when stripped of my beauty
I learn love's width and length.
Reclining in the refuge
of the blessing of His grace,
learning the joy of favor
safe; for He died in my place.
The storms rage relentless
still, I'm settled in His peace,
held secure in His mercy
from my angst I find release.
Now healed of all my broken
scars reveal my story lived,
declaring all His glory
true intimacy has thrived.
Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God
