The Now and Not Yet

when seeking to be found,
striving in a lonely crowd
lost, no one hears a sound.
In a world full of heartache
when people let you down,
suffering drowning hope
as darkness makes you frown.
In a world full of contrasts
where love and pain embrace
and light and shadows greet,
we are in need of grace...
Into a world full of sin
came love and mercy's gift,
God His Son not sparing
from all our shame, He lifts!
In a world yet to come
where lamb and lion share,
when tears are just memories
now forever in God's care.
