I Know a Place

I know a place where mercy rains,
It pours on me, and pours on all,
The throne of God - from there it reigns.
Yes, all we creatures from the fall.

God sent the Son to die for us,
By His work of grace, a cover,
While we did rant, and rave, and fuss!
Yes, from Him, our deepest lover!

He sets us free when we should die.
It is from Him a mercy gift.
It ends our strife, we know not why,
And spans our deep, dark, ugly rift.

His love on us rains down from high,
For we who choose, it brings us near
His work now cancels Satan's lie,
And sets us free and stops our fear.

Yes, God in grace and kindness clothed -
I know this place where mercy reigns -
Us in likeness, mercy bestowed.
The throne of God, from there it rains!
