Patience Deeper Meaning

Patience, more than not complaining
and putting up with sorrow's share,
for its waiting through the ups and downs
ready - and not diverted by despair.

Prepared to surrender each moment
to the blessed timing of God's will,
not rushing forward only on my own
but learning to be; focused and still.

Patience, consistent and enduring
not distracted by the storms of life,
resting in the knowledge of His strength
knowing God will guide me through my strife.

Prepared to listen to the broken
understanding given as my response,
connection is what compels my heart
not clinging fastly to my soul's defense.

Patience is desiring what is best
not just settling for what is easy,
determined to see the journey through
seeking God's Kingdom; never lazy.
