Poem of Praise

I thank you for your mercy and
forgiveness of all my transgressions.
Washing me clean in the fountain,
forever disregarding my confessions.

I fall to my knees because of your grace,
a gift, the same Spirit as was in Jesus.
Please set me on fire for you, my Lord,
as you now look upon us all as He sees us.

Your eye is always on the sparrow,
so blessedly, I know you watch over me.
Keeping me safe from those who do evil,
casting them away into the fiery sea.

I am grateful for your Heavenly word,
the good news that guides and lights my path.
Giving me the courage and strength I need
through life's trials and times of wrath.

Your love is unequaled and forever,
I love and worship you for all your glory.
The ultimate sacrifice of your Son for me;
eternity is the final chapter in my story.

Until the day when my soul you will raise,
my Lord, my Father, my God I will praise.
