Time
Everything our senses perceive, and our minds "understand", are a matter of perspective. And our perspective is extremely limited. We think we know truth, saying: "That is your truth, and this is mine". But these truths are simply beliefs,, not facts.

An example to follow
This poem came to me when I was reading John 19. Suddenly I thought about how pain tends to make people ( myself included ) more self-centered, and less open to the needs of others; and how differently our Lord reacted in His passion.
