Christmas Poems

From Humble Birth to Grand Display finalist in poetry contest
This poem contrasts today’s grand Christmas celebrations with the humble struggles of Jesus’ birth. It reflects on Mary’s journey, the manger’s simplicity, and the ultimate gift of salvation, urging us to remember the true meaning behind the fest

The heart of christmas
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord."—Luke 2:11

Jesus, My Family and Me
I wrote this while remembering and longing for simpler times during the Christmas season.

I Wasn't There
I wrote this per request for a friend to use for a children's Christmas program.

Christmas Lights
This is a poem about the joy of Christmas that can bless families during difficult times.

A prayer
By reading God's Word and prayer we are helped in maintaining faith in a very troubled world

The brink
This poem is written from the perspective of a person approaching death who is reflecting on their life. It finishes by prompting the person to listen to the thoughts that their Creator has put inside them that there is true hope beyond death.

Oh, Who in mortal presence
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14

The unmatched gift. finalist in poetry contest
Many charities today raise money through donors who have agreed to match whatever gifts have been given as an incentive for others to give. God sending his son Jesus to save us from our sin is a gift that could not nor will not be matched by anyone else!
