Psalm 115 finalist in poetry contest
Both of my most recent poems, Psalm 114 and Psalm 115, have alternating lines of 9 and 8 syllables; yet each of them forces the reader to read the poems with different cadences and rhythms. 35 more to go before I complete all 150 Psalms. Praise God!

Psalm 114
When Israel departed from Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue, Judah became God’s sanctuary, and Israel His dominion. The sea observed and fled; the Jordan turned back; the mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs. Ps 114

Psalm 90
“The eternal God”: A poetic rendition of Psalm 90; a psalm of Moses, the man of God. (KJV) This psalm is a prayer offered by Moses, when the people of Israel were about to take possession of the Promised Land.
