A Holy Invitation
This poem poured out from my spirit in almost a rap-like style. It's unique to all of my other poems in that each end word consistently rhymes the whole way through. The theme of the poem is a call to His amazing salvation!

It's Not Fair first in poetry contest
Life is not always fair. Sin hurts... deeply.

God Raised Him Up
The Resurrection of Christ not only proves that Jesus is who He said that He is, but it also reminds us of the power of God in bringing life out of death. In addition, the resurrection is the proof that Christ's atonement was sufficient to put away sin.

The Dawning of Hope second in poetry contest
This poem begins in the shadows of darkness but ends in the light of Christ. It is an attempt to paint a realistic picture of what one's outlook can be like without Christ, and what it can become through Christ.

I'm Sure finalist in poetry contest
Confidence in the work and promise of the Lord

No Condemnation finalist in poetry contest
One of the great truths that I heard as a new believer was about the tenses of salvation. We have been saved from the punishment of sin, we are being saved from the power of sin, we shall be saved from the presence of sin. That is the theme of this poem.

What a different person I could be finalist in poetry contest
A poem depicting the power of hatred

A Link in the Chain finalist in poetry contest
Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much..... God is an expert at using powerfully what we offer in weakness. He is able to do great things with what seems but small offerings on our part.

Moment by Moment with Him
This poem was written back when my son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 11. It was a very difficult, trying time for our family, but God laid these words on my heart.
