Why?
This poem reveals man's desires, God's reasons and His ultimate purpose in the death of our Saviour.

Pigs might fly
'Pigs might fly!' This is a derisive expression of unbelief popular in Australia. I seek to point to creation and to our redemption in Christ to show that this belief has a solid foundation. God is all powerful and He has kept the promises He made.

Too many!
Pain and suffering are real,, but thankfully we know that it will end. Christ will return and usher in His new creation.

I realise that my Ausie Slang may not be acceptable. I am in my eighties and have battled with depression and with feelings that I have failed God chided me for my lack of faith and self-pity and reminded me of His grace and sovereign love.

Yearning for reunion
Following the death of three of my brothers, I long for reunion with them, and all my loved ones. I long for Heaven, to be with my Lord, but am very aware of my sin and shortcomings. In spite of this, I have hope, that Christ has earned my salvation.
