Christian Hope

This is a Rainbow
The symbolism of the rainbow is something we often overlook. It's easy to forget that something which seems so ordinary is so beautifully significant, and my hope and prayer is that this poem will remind all who read it of God's great covenant to us.

Coronation
I wrote this during the coronation of King Charles. Comparing the celebration of an earthly king with the King of Kings.

Run to the Father
Luke 15: Verses 20-24 So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

Persevere
Describes how life for everyone is full of trials, that they have a purpose, and that with faith and trust in God, we can persevere.

I Will Not
In troubled times it is good to know what applies to you and what does not. We have a hope and comfort unknown to much of the world.

Teach Me To Fly finalist in poetry contest
It is a poem that helped to teach me to fly, with God's help, when things in life would get very difficult for me.

Looking Unto Jesus
Inspired by Psalm 34:5: "They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed."

The Tumbleweed second in poetry contest
How we blow around like a tumbleweed until Christ anchors us in Him.

Another Sunrise
So often the sunrise comes without our attention; without our acknowledgement of the new day beauty God brings into our lives. This poems asks us to be aware. For the day ahead brings promise, delivered through the wonder His grace.
